Yay! The Adam Brand CD that I ordered the other week came today. This album has two songs of Adam Brand that I really like - Grandpa's Piano and Dirt Track Cowboys, I haven't listened to the other songs yet but I'm going to listen to them later. My dad also likes Adam Brand and when he started listening to Grandpa's Piano I thought for a minute that he was going to take the CD - he's actually going to make a copy of it for himself.

For some reason I've started watching more TV than I have been lately. Usually I just watched reruns of Charmed and I've been watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer as part of cookieanalogy but I've started watching Supernatural on Monday, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles on Tuesday and I also watched Back to You this evening. I normally don't watch a lot of comedies but I haven't laughed that hard in ages like I did this evening.

In other news I have fallen in love with the musical Nunsense. I had downloaded the Original Cast album a while ago but I had only just gotten round to listening to it. I actually started watching the live stage show that had been put on youtube and then I began listening to the album after I realised how awesome the musical was. I love all the songs but some of my favourite ones are Nunsense is Habit Forming, Growing up Catholic, Just a Couple of Sisters and Holier Than Thou.

*glees*

The DVD of Into the Woods that I ordered from Big W last week arrived today.

I've already watched the DVD and I'm definitely happy that I decided to order it. I ordered online because I couldn't find it anywhere else and since I discovered Into the Woods last year and found that a DVD of it existed I wanted to get it.

So yay another DVD!

I found out that the musical the Carillon Theatrical Society is doing next is Hello, Dolly! and the auditions for it are next week but I'm not going to be here next week because I'm going away on holidays, which sucks. It also sucks because they're looking for people who are good at both singing and dancing and I can't dance so that kind of rules me out. I would be okay with the singing part but I wouldn't do any good with the dancing since the auditions also include a dance audition as well.

I'm hoping that they'll be doing more than one musical next year because this year they only did one musical, which was Rent and I hope that if they do another musical it will be one that I'll be able to do. I'd love it if they would do either Into the Woods or Jekyll and Hyde but knowing my luck that will never happen.

Posting a couple of days late but I saw a local production of Rent on Wednesday night. This was the first time that I had seen a production of the show but I really enjoyed it. Wednesday night was their opening night, I got tickets to that show because they were the cheapest but it was worth it. I have to get a copy of the movie and watch it now.

In other theatre news there's going to be a new professional production of The Phantom of the Opera touring Australia. I've already told mum that when it comes to Sydney (since it's opening in Melbourne to begin with) I'm seeing it. I haven't seen a stage production of The Phantom of the Opera but I'll be able to pay for the tickets when they open for Sydney's show.
