| So last night I actually did something that resembled a social life.
One of my friends was holding a candle party and she invited me to go so I spent two hours over at her house last night. Except we didn't really do much with candles, the majority of the evening I was talking with one of her friends who was there who I hadn't actually met before (I'm pretty sure I haven't met him, but my memory is rather bad). We had over an hour talking about Star Trek and different fandoms.
Our Star Trek conversations mostly revolved around 1) Who would win in a fight between the Death Star and a Borg Cube and 2) Who was the best Star Trek captain.
This was the first time that I've actually had those type of conversations since most people I know aren't into Star Trek. The friend who invited me over (who isn't a Star Trek fan) was like 'I can't believe I'm having this conversation in my house' and her housemate went 'he has this conversation all over Bathurst,'
It was pretty much random but it was fun.
In other news I still haven't heard from Coles yet in regards to whether or not I have the job but hopefully I'll hear something by the end of this week. I'm also starting TAFE next week, so I'll have to get into the studying pattern again. |
